Neighboring Deals

In SimCity3000, there is a new feature which allows you to buy or sell water, power and garbage to your neighbors.

How do I propose a deal?

                 You have to wait until your neighbor propose it to you first. If you have a large surplus of water and power, they will offer to buy your supplies, which gives you money. If you have not enough water and power for your city, your neighbors will offer to sell power and water to your city.

                 For the garbage deal, like the other two, they will offer to trash your garbage in their city and you need to pay for it, or if your garbage disposal facilities are sufficient, they will offer to give you garbage(and money), but you need to trash them for them.

Get connected

                 But don't forget to connect to the neighboring city first, your neighbors will only propose deals to you only if you are connected. For water deals, connect water pipes, for power deals, connect power lines, for garbage deals, connect roads or build a seaport. And wait a month before accepting a deal after you built the connections, because the facilities need a month before they can work.

Things to notice

                 Sometimes your neighbors will cancel your deal and need you to pay a fine(ouch!), but you didn't do anything in annoying the deal, why?

1. You do not have enough supplies to give to your neighbors. Check your supplies if they are about to dry up, and build some more, probably have 10%-20% surplus at any time.

2. Your connections may have reach the maxinium, build more connections.

3. Are your connections really on the move? Have you waited one month after building the road before accepting the deal?

4. Sometimes, when you have farms in our city, you will find your ticker saying "Left out of the rain.....", then your neighbor will cancel the deal, what should you do? You can destroy your farms or cancel the deal.
